This week’s theme is: Order. As a librarian, I find this theme fulfilling. I tend to notice and appreciate places and things where things are put in visible, classifiable order.
This photo was taken at the Municipal Market in Punta Arenas, Chile. Tons of little stands and stalls were squashed together in the seafood hall, selling typical Chilean trinkets and sweaters.
Of course, I took this photo of the myriad sweater designs and colors. If I had to pick one article of clothing to wear for the rest of my life – for the top half, that is – I would pick a sweater. And sweaters in Chile can be found at amazing prices. When I asked, the vendor – a slightly bent old woman in a bright red sweater of her own – said that each one cost 15,000 pesos which is roughly $22 usd!
